The Colorado Rapids and Commerce City will host the 18th Annual 4thFest on Thursday, July 4th at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The fun-filled day-long event, presented by Westerra Credit Union, includes a free community festival, the match between the Rapids and New York Red Bulls, and one of the largest fireworks shows in the state. The Colorado Rapids welcome international stars Thierry Henry and Tim Cahill and their New York Red Bull teammates in their only visit to Colorado on Thursday, July 4 (kickoff at 7:30 p.m. MT; MATCH PREVIEW). Denver’s own Flobots will perform as part of the annual 4thFest celebration, presented by Westerra Credit Union. The alternative rock/hip hop band will perform on the stage outside Eighteen76 from approximately 9:30-10:00 p.m., at the conclusion of the Rapids match against the New York Red Bulls and prior to the fireworks display. The pre-game 4thFest Family Activity Zone is completely free of charge and will feature all kinds of interactive activities, entertainers and elements for kids of all ages and their families to explore! The Family Activity Zone will take place outside the south end of the stadium, while the Adult activities will take place both outside and inside.

The Independence Day theme continues on July 7 when the Rapids host D.C. United on Militaty Appreciation Night presented by Coca-Cola (BUY TICKETS)
The night will include a check presentation to the United Service Organization (USO), recognition of veterans of the armed forces, welcoming home of soldiers, and enlistment ceremony. The Color Guard that night will represent all military branches, and fans will be able to get an up-close look at military vehicles.
The first 2,000 guests will receive a camo hat compliments of the USO.

ALSO: On July 7, the Colorado Rapids, Entravision and Coca-Cola are teaming up to bring together all of Denver’s professional sports teams for Xportiva, an interactive community event at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
