U10 Center of Excellence

"The Thrill of Skill and an Introduction to the Rapids Academy"
 
Center Objectives:

The U-10 Center of Excellence will ensure that more young players are exposed to quality coaching and made more aware of the technical requirements of an elite soccer player.

The exclusive purpose of the U-10 COE is to introduce and promote player development through technical training and the importance of technique as it applies to the game. Although inclusive, it is still designed to nurture the advancing serious player.
 
 
Notes:
  • In the Fall of 2008 the Colorado Rapids Soccer Academy will introduce the Under 10 Center of Excellence training program.
  • Training will occur 1 time per week for 10 weeks at Dicks Sporting Goods Park
  • Sessions will last 75 minutes
  • All sessions will be staffed by Rapids Academy coaches and players, and will be supervised by the Center of Excellence Director
  • Training will be structured around exclusive Rapids Curriculum
  • Players will be provided with an adidas kit for training
