Acquired: Acquired in a trade from Toronto FC on Thursday, April 19, 2007 in exchange for a third round draft pick in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft, allocation monsey, and the MLS rights to Canadian player Riley O’Neill.

Bio:
Conor Casey had a career year in 2009 posting a MVP campaign setting a new Rapids single season scoring record with 16 goals to finish 2nd in the league's Golden Boot race only one goal behind FC Dallas' Jeff Cunnningham. Casey was named to the MLS Best XI squad for the first time in his career and also garnered MLS All-Star honors. A hometown favorite, Casey has 16 career caps with the U.S. Men's National Team and scored his first two international goals in the U.S.’s 2010 World Cup qualifying win against Honduras on October 10, 2009 that clinched a trip to South Africa for the Americans.
