Colorado Rapids Women

The Colorado Rapids Women consists of two ladies teams, one which competes in the W-League Western Division of the United Soccer League’s National Women’s League and a younger developmental U-20 ladies team which competes in the Super 20's National Youth League. The W-League side competes in the 30-team competition featuring teams from the United States and Canada and attracts players from across the world. The Rapids W-League side fielded several international stars in their inaugural 2012 season with players joining the team from countries such as Denmark, Brazil, England and Australia. The 2012 season saw the Colorado Rapids Women finish in a respectable 4th position in the Western Conference and enjoyed several home wins including highlighted victories against rivals Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps. The Colorado Rapids Women U-20's are the current North American Champions after a Championship victory over DC United in July 2012.
