Matt Gordon

Video Analyst

Matt Gordon joined the Colorado Rapids in October of 2021 as the Video Analyst intern with the first team before moving into a full-time role with Rapids 2. In 2024 Gordon was appointed to the role of Video Analyst for the first team. 

Before joining Rapids, Matt spent 16 years as a Director of Coaching at youth clubs in New Mexico, New England, and most recently Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club. Matt's passion for youth development saw him oversee age groups from U5 through to U19, with responsibilities ranging from implementing style of play philosophies, college recruitment support, and coach development.

In 2016 Matt was named Head Coach of Albuquerque Sol FC of the PDL, a role he held for 3 years before moving to New England where he also gained experience as a Head Coach in the NPSL.

Matt holds his USSF "A" License, a Bachelor of Science degree in performance coaching, and a Scottish FA Performance Analysis License. Originally from Leicester, England, Matt now lives in Black Hawk with his partner Sarah and Alaskan Malamute, Beren.
