Cody Field has been involved with Special Olympics Colorado for more than eight years. While he is an accomplished snowboarder who won three gold medals at the 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Korea, Field also loves soccer.
The 21-year-old from Centennial plays forward and he can’t wait to join the Rapids SOCO Unified team and make new friends. Field graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 2011 and he hopes to find a job working in the electronics field. He has been a courtesy clerk/cashier for King Soopers for the past six years.
Field enjoys music and video games and is a member of the Boy Scouts of America working toward earning his Eagle Scout badge. Field has a great sense of humor and a vivid imagination. Field was the 2013 Special Olympics Colorado Male Athlete of the Year and named the 2013 Athlete with a Disability of the Year by the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.
