Kaylee Gatzke of Colorado Springs has been involved with Special Olympics for four years, and this will be her first season as a Unified Partner on the Rapids SOCO Unified team.
While soccer is her favorite sport, Gatzke also plays basketball. She was a member of the 2014 State Basketball Championship team from Mesa Ridge High School. Gatzke looks forward to traveling and making new friends on the Rapids SOCO Unified team. “It means a lot to me knowing that I can help out others who need it, especially helping them out with something that has been my passion since I was five. Special Olympics has shown me that I can take my communication skills to a whole different level,” Gatzke says.
Outside of sports, Gatzke enjoys being outside – especially hiking. Her favorite Rapids player is Shane O’Neill.
