Jason Horton of Denver has been involved with Special Olympics Colorado for six years and joins the Rapids SOCO Unified team for the first time as a forward and goalkeeper. The 20-year-old also plays basketball and softball and is most proud of winning gold medals in those sports.
“Special Olympics has changed my life by helping people out as a team and making new friends,” Horton says. Horton looks forward to making new friends this season.
His favorite Rapids player of all time is Omar Cummings. Horton loves spending time with his two nephews, hanging out with his friends and going to Loveland to see his family when he isn’t on the field.
