Erik Johnson is in his first year competing with Special Olympics and looks forward to getting to know all of the athletes and positively impacting fellow soccer players.
The 24-year-old striker played varsity soccer at Central College (Pella, Iowa) and graduated in 2012. His proudest achievement is being a regular starter on his college team and studying abroad.
Johnson always has played golf and volleyball. He enjoys video games, snowboarding and hanging out with friends. His favorite Rapids star is Chris Klute.
