Mario Sigala has been volunteering with Special Olympics for 20 years. Sigala is the Head Coach of the Mesa Ridge High School men and women’s soccer teams. Sigala’s proudest achievement was being named the 2014 Colorado Springs Metro League Coach of the Year. He has also coached bowling, softball and volleyball through the years.
“Special Olympics has impacted my life by allowing me to give back and being able to bring my kids up to help out as well,” Sigala says. “I’m looking forward to this season and the opportunity to impact kids even more than before.
Sigala enjoys camping and fishing when he is away from coaching soccer. His favorite Rapids star is Vincent Sanchez.
