Chris Zitterbart became the Rapids’ Team Administration and Scouting Coordinator at the start of the 2016 season. He assists Director of Team Administration, Erik Carlson in many areas of team operations and administration, as well as assisting Director of Scouting and Player Recruitment, Mitch Murray. Previously he served as the Equipment Coordinator beginning at the start of the 2014 season, assisting the first team support staff on all aspects of the team’s daily operations. He originally joined Colorado ahead of the 2013 season as an intern, before becoming a part-time assistant later in the season.
A native of Lockport, New York, Zitterbart played collegiate soccer first at Niagara County Community College, where he studied Business Administration, and then at Slippery Rock University, where he graduated with a degree in Sport Management. He was also the head coach of the Slippery Rock High School JV team in 2012. An avid fan of Eintracht Frankfurt of the German Bundesliga, Zitterbart started the club’s U.S.-based supporters’ group, called EFC USAdlers. He speaks some French and is fully fluent in German.
