Kicks For Kids

The Colorado Rapids "Kicks for Kids" program enables fans and corporations to support underserved children by giving them the opportunity to experience the excitement of a Colorado Rapids game live in person at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park!

Companies who support the Kicks for Kids program find that their support enhances their company’s community service efforts, as well as provides networking opportunities for their organization.

All Kicks for Kids beneficiaries are 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations providing a direct service to underserved children in the Denver metro area. Since 1998, with the considerate support of our Kicks for Kids donors, several thousand children have benefited from this program and have attended Rapids home games and holiday parties as part of the program.

In addition to donating Rapids tickets, the Colorado Rapids and the Rapids Community Care Foundation host various events associated with the Kicks for Kids program to allow the community partners to meet and interact with the children who benefit from their generous donations!

The "Rapids FutHabla" (translated as "talk soccer") program is a six-session instructional class designed to teach conversational English for native Spanish-speaking adults. The classes feature an emphasis on reading and writing as well, all while incorporating the theme of soccer, the common language that’s spoken around the world.

FutHabla sessions will run through the Rapids’ entire 2009 season, with high quality English language instruction provided by licensed instructors.

Participants can register for only $200, which includes class registration, all class materials, and game tickets to select Colorado Rapids home matches.

Interested participants will be able to choose from three different FutHabla programs: a Tuesday morning, Tuesday evening or a Saturday morning program all at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

FutHabla, the first program of its kind to be offered by an American professional sports team, will give students unique opportunities while they learn the English language with special guest appearances from Rapids players and exclusive interaction with the club at their home stadium.

Rapids & Fans TEAM Up to Fight Drunk Driving

The Colorado Rapids have embraced the "Responsibility Has Its Rewards" national campaign, and the club always encourages fans to never druve drunk.

Rapids fans and players on Sat. May 2 had the chance to film responsibility Public Service Announcements (PSAs) on the councourse during the game! "Rapids Fans Don't Let Fans Drive Drunk" was the universal message for all fans at the game at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

The Colorado Rapids continue to help lead the way to educate fans about the importance of designating a driver, demonstrating positive fan behavior, and wearing their seatbelt. And the spokespeople for this important message on this night were the Rapids fans themselves!
