Rapids Rookie for a Day

Rapids Rookie for a Day honors students who are quality kids. The program encourages kids, who may not be straight-A  students or All-State athletes, to continue to strive for improvement. Candidates must demonstrate academic achievement,   positive attitude, good citizenship, good behavior, and community involvement.

Colorado Rapids Community Coach Award 

The Colorado Rapids value individuals who have made an impact on young soccer players in their community. The Colorado Rapids Community Coach Award will recognize and reward youth soccer coaches who provide superior levels of leadership both on and off the field.

Kicks For Kids

 

The Colorado Rapids "Kicks for Kids" program enables fans and corporations to support underserved children by giving them the opportunity to experience the excitement of a Colorado Rapids game live in person at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park!

2010 Colorado Rapids Charity Classic

The Colorado Rapids will host the 2010 Charity Classic on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Buffalo Run Golf Course in Commerce City, CO. All proceeds will benefit Kroenke Sports Charities' programs supporting educational and recreational initiatives for underserved children and families.

Rapids Rally for Donors II          

This summer, Bonfils’ Colorado Marrow Donor Program (CMDP) and the Colorado Rapids are teaming up for the second annual Rapids Rally for Donors, an event aimed to add hundreds of new potential stem cell or marrow donors to the Be The Match Registry®

Fitness for Life     

The Rapids Fitness for Life program, presented by Chipotle, emphasizes the importance of nutrition and fitness so that kids can focus on living a healthy lifestyle. The program is available for classroom grades 3-8 throughout Metro Denver during the 2010 Major League Soccer season.

Step Up For Cancer

 

 Dozens of Colorado non-profit organizations are collaborating for one mission: to partner in the fight against cancer. In its second year, participants will have the opportunity to earn pledges for their cancer charity of choice  by climbing all 1,765 stairs at Dicks Sporting Goods Park.

Rapids & Fans TEAM Up to Fight Drunk Driving

 

The Colorado Rapids have embraced the "Responsibility Has Its Rewards" national campaign, and the club always encourages fans to never drive drunk.

Rapids Recess Program

 

The Colorado Rapids annually make visits to elementary schools within the Denver Metro area between the months of January-April and August-October to educate kids on the fundamentals of soccer, and healthy living.

Rapids "Play Like a Pro" Youth Soccer Clinics:

 
 Throughout the season, the Colorado Rapids players host free soccer clinics for certain charitable organizations.
 
Rapids players work with kids to go over basic skills and drills, enabling them to interact with professional players of the highest level and to become familiar with the Rapids game.

Rapids “Passback" Equipment & Gear Donation Program:

The Passback Program is a joint effort between the Colorado Rapids, the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Eurosport, and Major League Soccer to assist in meeting the soccer needs of all communities.

Kroenke Sports Charities Youth Sports Day

The Kroenke Sports Charities Youth Sports Day is a joint effort between  the Colorado Rapids and Kroenke Sports.

This year will be the first Kroenke Sports Charities Youth Sports Day. The event will be held on August 11, 2010 at Dicks Sporting Goods Park from 9:00am - 3:45pm. Children between the ages of 8 and 14 can sign up now for the opportunity to participate in Nuggets basketball, Avalanche street hockey, Mammoth Lacrosse and Rapids soccer clinics, as well as meet Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche alumni.
