Two goals in five second half minutes denied the Colorado Rapids their first away win since April 12, as the Portland Timbers claimed only their second home win of the season.

The Argentine pair of Maximiliano Urruti and Diego Valeri bagged second-half goals to erase a 1-0 deficit in a 2-1 defeat of the Rapids, in a crucial Western Conference showdown on Friday night.

The Colorado Rapids are on the road for a second successive game, this time at Western Conference rivals Portland Timbers on Friday evening at Providence Park in front of an NBC Sports Network audience. The Timbers are back in the Rose City following a 2-0 loss at their arch-rival Seattle Sounders that stretched Portland's winless run to four games.
