Burpo Makes Final 10 Cut for MLS Save of the Year!

NEW YORK (Wed. Nov. 11 2009) – Colorado Rapids goalkeeper Preston Burpo has made the cut to the final 10 plays still in contention to win the MLS Save of the Year!
The Rapids' Preston Burpo is nominated for his fantastic fingertip save vs. FC Dallas on October 17th at Pizza Hut Park.

On the play Burpo makes a flying save to deny Dallas' Ferreira and stop a sure goal by the Hoops' striker.
On November 3rd Major League Soccer announced that voting for the most remarkable individual plays of the 2009 regular season kicked off on the League’s official website MLSNet.com.
Fans may vote to determine the Degree Men 2009 MLS Save of the Year selecting from 40 candidates including all MLS Save of the Week winners from the regular season and additional nominees.
The voting breakdown is as follows:
1. Nov. 3 – Nov. 10 – Voting to select top 10 saves from original 40 nominees

2. Nov. 11 – Nov. 17 – Voting to select the 2009 Degree Men MLS Save of the Year from the top 10 nominees
The 2009 MLS Save of the Year will be announced on Nov. 18 2009. This year marks the inaugural season for the Degree Men Save of the Year.
