Rapids Acquire 2006 Supplemental Draft Pick From Real Salt Lake for Rights to Seth Trembly

DENVER CO (Colorado Rapids Media Relations)- The Colorado Rapids acquired today a 2006 MLS natural fourth round Supplemental Draft pick from Real Salt Lake in exchange for the rights to midfielder Seth Trembly.

The Colorado native who spent the past five seasons with the Colorado Rapids was waived by the Black and Blue on March 3 2005. He finished the 2004 season with five starts in 24 appearances with the Rapids scoring one goal and tallying one assist.

Trembly will join forward Jordan Cila in Salt Lake as the two former Black and Blue players traded to the expansion team this year. Trembly joins the 18-man senior roster of RSL replacing ex-Rapids defender Jeff Stewart who was placed on season-ending injury reserve after arriving in Salt Lake City Tuesday night and joining his new teammates at training.

Cila has played seven minutes in three MLS regular season games for his new team so far this season.
