Rapids to Face Boulder Rapids Reserve in Exhibition Matches Throughout Summer of 2006

DENVERCO (April 20 2006) – The Colorado Rapids announced plans to engage in 3 exhibition games throughout the upcoming months against the Boulder Rapids Reserve who ended their last season in the Professional Developmental League (PDL) with a record of 5-4-3. The exhibition games will begin on May 9th and will be held at the Pleasant View Soccer Complex in Boulder.

The exhibition game schedule between the Rapids and the Boulder Rapids Reserve is as follows:

Tuesday May 9th at 5:00 pm (MT)
Wednesday June 14th at 5:00 pm (MT)
Tuesday July 18th at 5:00 pm (MT)

All of these exhibition games will be held at the home field of the Boulder Rapids Reserve the Pleasant View Soccer Complex (3805 47th Street Boulder CO 80503).

Tickets for these exhibition games are $10 for adults $5 for kids ages 5-15 and kids under 5 are free!

The Boulder Rapids Reserve entering their seventh year of existence compete in the Premier Development League (PDL) of the United Soccer Leagues (USL). The PDL was established as an opportunity for college players to compete in a professional atmosphere without forfeiting their collegiate eligibility or amateur status.

The team is a member of the highly competitive Heartland Division. The Boulder Rapids Reserve are two-time Central Conference Champions and National Finalists.

Also in addition to the announcement of these games the Boulder Rapids Reserve have confirmed that they will be conducting open try-outs for any interested males over the age of 18. Interested athletes need to apply before the deadline in order to participate. On the day of tryouts players will need to bring a completed waiver form and a valid form of identification or birth certificate.
