Rapids To Play Preseason Game in Pueblo This Saturday

DENVER (Monday Feb. 13 2006) - The Colorado Rapids announced today that they will host an exhibition game at Dutch Clark Stadium in Pueblo Colorado on Saturday February 25th at 7:00 p.m. The match is being organized through a partnership between the Colorado Rapids the Pueblo Rangers Youth Soccer Club and Pueblo School District 60.

The Rapids will be taking on the CSU-Pueblo men’s team in this pre-season friendly. The exhibition match will give the Rapids a great opportunity to introduce the new faces on this year’s squad to fans as this will be the first time the Black & Blue suit up for a game in Colorado in 2006.

"Our fans in southern Colorado have been requesting that the Rapids play a game in their area for the last few years and we are excited to be able to bring this opportunity to their communities said Jason W. Linscott Senior Director of Ticket Sales for the Rapids.

"We have a very strong following in those areas and to be able to play a game in their back yard will be a great thrill."
