DENVER (ColoradoRapids.com) - The Colorado Rapids announced today plans for the club's Second Annual Rapids School Assembly Program which will begin on January 25 and run through the month of April.
This Colorado Rapids community program will include visits by Rapids players to around 20 elementary schools in the next several weeks in the Denver metro area. The program began last year and due to its popularity among Colorado's schoolkids it has returned for 2006!
At each school two Rapids players will lead an assembly and talk to students about the value of exercise and living a healthy lifestyle as well the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.
