The Rapids Reserves' final match of the season is this Sunday Oct. 8 vs. the NY Red Bulls Reserves in Broomfield; with a win the Rapids Reserves could finish with a maximum of 27 points on the season.
The Rapids Reserves can claim the trophy outright on Sunday with a win against NY. The Kansas City Wizards Reserves (currently sitting at 23 points) are the only team still able to compete with the Rapids Reserves in the hunt for the second annual Reserve Division championship. Kansas City can win the championship with a win coupled with a Rapids Reserves loss or tie on Sunday.
This year defender Stephen Keel has been the only player to appear in every minute of every game for the Rapids Reserve squad. The Colorado native has also scored two game-winning goals this year from his position in the center of the defense.
