Rapids Unveil New adidas Jerseys for 2006 Season

DENVER (ColoradoRapids.com) - The Colorado Rapids today unveiled the new designs for the club's 2006 jerseys. The new kits by the team’s official uniform supplier adidas will be worn by the club in a regular season match for the first time in the Rapids’ season opener in April of this year.

The Rapids' 2006 home jersey is similar to last year's model featuring the club's traditional black and blue stripes. It also features central placing of the adidas logo on the chest of the front of the jersey as well as slight green piping around the chest area.

The Rapids' 2006 away jersey is mostly white with green siding along the ribs and piping of the jersey a marked difference in color from last season's model.

The new adidas uniforms are lightweight and breathable with mesh underarm panels and a unique system designed to whisk away sweat all part of adidas's patented "ClimaCool" technology.

Both jerseys also feature the word "Rapids" embroidered on the back side of the jersey above the player's name as well as a new adidas logo on the sleeve reminiscent of the adidas "Teamgeist
