LATEST INJURY UPDATES
Rapids forward Conor Casey will continue his recovery from successful surgery to repair a ruptured ACL in his right knee this off-season. He is expected to be out 6-9 months for recovery.
Facundo Erpen is on the road to recovery from the abdominal surgery he underwent to repair a sports hernia. He is expected to take 2-4 weeks to fully recover.
TODAY'S QUOTES FROM TRAINING
Today's quotes come from Colorado Rapids Head Trainer Theron Enns speaking about why it's important for the club to have the players go through the process of getting exit physicals before they depart for the off-season:
"Exit physicals are an important part of a professional soccer player’s overall health care. These physicals provide us with the opportunity to ensure that all injuries they may have suffered during the year are healed or the players are on the path to recovery.
"Our physicians and athletic trainers will examine the players to ensure that they are healthy and ready to enter the off-season. If there are any medical issues that need to be addressed during the off-season we will lay out a plan for each individual athlete so that they are prepared for pre-season."
