Saturday's "Dog Days of August" Promotion SOLD OUT!

COMMERCE CITY (ColoradoRapids.com) - The Colorado Rapids have announced the club’s 3rd annual "Dog Days of August" promotion which will allow fans to bring their dogs to Dick's Sporting Goods Park for the only time this year on Saturday August 11 for the game against the Houston Dynamo has SOLD OUT.
No walk-up applications will be accepted on the day of the event; only dogs that fans have pre-registered can enter the stadium.

The Rapids Dog Days of August promotion will allow all canines to sit in the stands in a designated section of the stadium with their owners as they enjoy the Rapids match!
A special seating section in the north end of the stadium for this event will exist as well as a play and refreshment area for the dogs in attendance including doggy restrooms and other activities for the pets. Owners and their dogs will also sit together for the match itself in the north end risers of Dicks Sporting Goods Park.
Owners will also be able to get a Rapids commemorative photo of their dog at the game!
A fabulous Rapids prize will also be awarded to the owner who dresses their dog in the best Colorado Rapids-themed costume or outfit!
Tickets for the Rapids Dog Days of August event are on sale for only $15 and that price includes the dual admission of one owner and one dog. Only 1 dog is permitted to accompany each human. Additional tickets for other human fans in the "dog zone" can be purchased for $14 each. SORRY THESE ARE SOLD OUT!
The night will also feature a special performance by the crowd-favorite RUFF Dog Flyball Club performance team at halftime!
All owners must fill out an application and waiver beforehand as well as submit a copy of recent vaccination records of their dogs. Tickets will be mailed out once fans’ applications are processed or left in the stadium Will Call if received less than 5 days prior to the event. Either way applicants will be notified of their application's acceptance.

Applications will be reviewed on a first-come first-served basis and all applications need to be submitted by 5:00pm on Thursday August 9. Separate applications must be filled out for each dog requested to attend.
Please note that filling out an application does not guarantee a spot at the event; applications that are accepted will be notified and your game tickets will be mailed out to you.
All owners and their dogs will sit in Dick's Sporting Goods Park's north-end risers during the game. All dogs must be leashed at all times and no banned breeds will be admitted. The Rapids also reserve the right to deny admittance to any dangerous breeds at the team's discretion.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit Table Mountain Animal Center. Founded in 1976 Table Mountain Animal Center a not-for-profit (501c3) organization is a public/private partnership that provides animal care control adoption and educational services to 10 municipalities in Jefferson County. Table Mountain Animal Center is the third largest shelter in the state of Colorado and is the largest shelter serving the west Denver metropolitan area. The Rapids will also be conducting a "Dog Supplies" collection drive to benefit Table Mountain Animal Center! Bring items to donate at the gates of the stadium that will go to benefit TMAC! Items needed include: large blankets (not comforters) pooper scoopers KMR (Milk Replacement for nursing puppies) any kind of dog food snacks or treats dog collars choke chains leashes toys for dogs and cats rubber tug toys or any other doggie equipment food or supplies!
Table Mountain Animal Center's Mobile Surgical Utility Vehicle (S.U.V.) will also be on site at Dick's Sporting Goods Park from 10am-5pm on Saturday August 11th to provide discounted vaccinations and microchips for both dogs and cats. Dog vaccinations include rabies bordetella and distemper for only $35 while cat vaccinations include rabies and distemper for $30. Microchips including registration are only $35. The SUV will be parked in front of the Stadium Cantina on the south end of the stadium and can be easily recognized by the large colorful murals of cats and dogs that decorate the side panels.
Saturday's game also features the Rapids Youth Night promotion: kids 16 & under can get a free ticket to the game with the purchase of an adult ticket!
