President Obama to honor Colorado Rapids

MLS Cup champions to conduct clinic on White House South Lawn

WASHINGTON -- On Monday, June 27, President Obama will welcome Major League Soccer champions, the Colorado Rapids, to the White House to honor their 2010 season and their MLS Cup victory. This visit will also continue the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring sports teams for their efforts to give back to communities, as well as for winning championships, as part of their trip to Washington. In conjunction with the ceremony with the President at the White House, the Colorado Rapids will hold a soccer clinic for children of military families on the South Lawn.
