Tight hamstring sidelined Moor for Open Cup match
Commerce City, Colo. - Center back and acting team captain Drew Moor was a late scratch from the trip to Kansas City for the fourth round U.S. Open Cup match against Sporting KC, in which the home eliminated the Rapids with a 2-0 win on Tuesday night.
After being an unused substitute in Colorado's 3-1 third round win in Tampa, Florida over the Rowdies, Moor was itching to play on Tuesday at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park. However, his left hamstring tightened up during Monday's workout and the coaching staff decided against taking the ironman defender as a precaution.
Moor clarified his injury and status on Twitter on Wednesday morning.
Killed me not being there last night.Tight hamstring was just a precaution. Will be 100% by 6/16.Thanks for the support :-) #Rapids
