Commerce City, Colo. - Midfielder Jeff Larentowicz has been cleared to play Wednesday versus Portland after an MRI on his right knee reveaved only minor swelling, Rapids head athletic trainer Jaime Rojas told ColoradoRapids.com. Larentowicz began feeling slight pain in his knee during Monday's training at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. He again felt uncomfortable at the start of Tuesday's session and left training early in order to have his knee examined. The tests revealed no significant issues.

The holding midfielder has played the full 90 minutes in 24 of the 25 games in which he's appeared in this season. The only match he did not complete was the second of the season, on March 18 at Philadelphia, when he was shown a second yellow card in the 58th minute. The only two games he has not played in were on March 25 at NY and July 21 at Salt Lake while serving one-game suspensions.
