An update on Colorado Rapids Academy alumni playing in schools across the country as of October 9, 2012:

Jacob Beerman – Metro State University (7-6-0)– Sophomore midfielder from Colorado Springs started his second game of the year in a 2-3 overtime loss to Regis on Oct. 7. It was his 10th appearance of the season

Marc Herschberger – Metro State University – Senior forward from Westminster has seven goals and has started all 13 games, most recently a 2-3 loss to Regis.

Rojesh Shrestha – Metro State University – Freshman midfielder from Boulder has yet to appear in a game.

Jordan Spring – Regis University (10-0-1) – Sophomore defender from Parker appeared in his first game of the season in a 5-0 win over Adams State on Sept. 28. Regis is ranked #3 nationally in Division II on Oct. 2.

Zachary Bolden – University of Denver (5-3-3) – Junior midfielder from Denver has started all 11 games and leads the team in minutes while adding two goals. Denver’s last match was 1-0 loss to New Mexico on Oct. 7.

Karsten Hanlin – University of Denver – Freshman from Centennial has yet to appear in a match.

Colton Briscoe – University of Colorado - CO. Springs (6-5-0) – Junior defender from Colorado Springs has started all 11 games for the Mountain Lions, including the 1-0 loss to Colorado Mesa on Oct. 7.

Idrissa Camara – Midwestern State (TX) (6-1-3 ) – Freshman forward from Denver has started one of the 10 games in which he’s appeared, including the 2-2 draw with Northeastern State on Oct. 7. Midwestern State is ranked #24 on the Oct. 2 polls.

Luke Chapman – Midwestern State (TX) – Sophomore midfielder from Fort Collins has yet to appear in a game this season.

Josue Chavez – Lipscomb University (TN) (4-8-0) – Freshman midfielder from Longmont provided the opening assist and then scored the game-winning goal in a 3-1 victory over Florida Gulf Coast on Oct. 6. He has two goals and has started all 12 games.

James Rogers – University of New Mexico (9-2-0) – Sophomore forward from Sierra Leon / Ft. Collins has four goals and one assist and has appeared in eight games for the #5 ranked Lobos (Oct. 2), including a 1-0 win over Denver on Oct. 7.

Chris Gurule – University of New Mexico (9-2-0) – Freshman forward / midfielder from Longmont has yet to appear in a match this season.

Jeff Kading – Elmhurst College (8-6-0) – Freshman defender from Arvada has started 13 of 14 games, including a 1-0 win over Concordia-Moorhead on Oct. 8

William Koki – Mercy College (NY) (7-3-2) – Senior forward from Aurora has only started 3 of the 12 games in which he’s appeared, but leads Mercy with 8 goals and added two assists. Made his second start on Oct. 3 and assisted on the opening goal, but his side fell 3-1 to Long Island University – Post.

Logan Konkol – Kenyon College (OH) (7-3-1) – Sophomore midfielder from Denver has appeared in all 11 games, making one start. Kenyon defeated Oberlin College 1-0 on Oct. 6.

Joseph Kuzminsky – Alabama- Birmingham (6-3-2) – Freshman goalkeeper from Denver has yet to appear in a match this season. UAB dropped out of the Top 25 (23rd) in the Oct. 2 rankings.

Carlos Linares – Ft. Hays State University (KS) (8-3-1) – Sophomore defender from Aurora has one goal and two assists in 9 starts this year, but broke his foot on Sept. 27 in a 1-0 loss to Lindenwood University and is not expected to return this season. Fort Hays was ranked #18 in Division II as of Oct. 2

Ryan Pakieser – Ft. Hays State University – Sophomore from Lakewood has started seven games and posted a 1.57 goals against average. He started against Eastern New Mexico on Oct. 5 but came out of the match with a hand injury in the 32’ of the 2-0 loss.

Tanner McManus – Colorado School of Mines (7-3-2 ) – Sophomore defender from Greeley has started 11 of the 12 matches and added two goals and one assist. He started on Mines’ 3-1 win over Colorado St. – Pueblo on Oct. 7. School of Mines dropped out of the Top 25 on the Oct. 2 polls.

Zachary Paul – Vermont (5-4-3) – Senior forward from Longmont has played in all 12 games, starting 11. He scored his first goal of the year on Oct. 6 in a 3-2 win over Hatford, hitting the game-winner in the 67’.

Jason Prichard – Sterling College (KS) (4-5-2) – Freshman defender from Aurora is one of six players to start all 11 games, most recently a 1-1 tie versus Bethany College on Oct. 6.

Brendan Roslund – University of San Francisco (4-4-2) – Senior goalkeeper from Denver has started all 10 games, allowing just 11 goals for a 1.02 goals against average.

Dillon Serna – University of Akron (7-1-2) – Freshman midfielder has played in all 10 games, starting nine and scoring two goals while adding four assists. Scored his second goal of the year in a 5-0 win over Florida Atlantic in the 7th-ranked Zips' last match on Oct. 5.

Patrick Slogic (picture above) – Cornell University (10-0-0) – Junior defender from Colorado Springs headed in the game-winning goal against Harvard on Oct. 5 in a 3-1 win to keep 18th-ranked Cornell undefeated. The goal was his second of the season, in which he’s started all 10 games.

Amara Ben Soumah – Illinois Central College (10-2-1) – Sophomore forward from Aurora leads the team with 15 goals, having started all 13 games. On Oct. 7 he scored the third goal in ICC’s 3-1 win over South Suburban College in Peoria.

Drake Stewart – Wright State (3-6-1) – Junior forward from Loveland has played in nine of the 10 matches but is still seeking his first goal of the season. He came off the bench in Wright State’s 2-1 win over Green Bay on Oct. 7.

Matthew Taphorn – Central Arkansas (6-4-0) – Sophomore defender from Denver has started all 10 games and leads the team in minutes played (916). Central Arkansas lost their third straight over the weekend, falling 1-0 at Drake (IA) on Oct. 6.

Vicente Vega – Adams State College (1-10-0) – Junior defender from Greeley has played in all 11 games, making eight starts. His last appearance was in a 2-1 loss to Fort Lewis on Oct. 6.
