Rapids Fans,

Welcome to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park for tonight’s match against the San Jose Earthquakes, our second-to-last home game of the 2012 season. We’re thrilled to host all of you, and excited to square off for a final time against San Jose. While the playoffs are not in the cards for us this season, we’re still giving everything we have, and trying to earn another home win for you. Our opponents tonight will make that a tough task; they currently have the best record in MLS, and are led by MVP-candidate and league leading scorer Chris Wondolowski, who has 22 goals this year.

MORE: MATCH PREVIEW

You’ll notice a that the color pink has been integrated into much of tonight’s match. We’re participating in Soccer Kicks Cancer, which is a league-wide initiative to raise awareness for cancer research and treatment. The color pink is representative of the battle against breast cancer, and you’ll see it in jerseys, shoelaces, goalkeeper gloves, and other things. Also, some of the pink adidas PRIME balls will be up for auction at the Community Relations table at the top of Section 129 during the game – stop by and support the cause!

After tonight’s game, we’ll have just one final home match, on October 27 when we face the Houston Dynamo. We’ll be celebrating Fan Appreciation Night, and have special events, prizes and giveaways to thank you for your loyal support throughout the season. Also, for the Season Ticket Holders who haven’t renewed yet, the renewal deadline is today. Stop by Section 117 to renew or purchase your 2013 season tickets and become part of our family. There’s a lot to look forward to, both in our final three games of 2012, and into the 2013 season.

Come on you Rapids!
