Entrance physicals and testing to begin on January 17

After four days of exams and fitness drills, team to hit field on January 21

Two events are now set to take place on January 17: the 2013 MLS SuperDraft in Indianapolis, Ind. and the first day that players will officially report to Dick's Sporting Goods Park for preseason entrance physicals.

Back from a short break for the holidays, head coach Oscar Pareja told ColoradoRapids.com on Friday that the first day of field work will be on Monday, Jan. 21, following the various exams and fitness test that the players will be put through by head athletic trainer Jaime Rojas and fitness and assistant coach Paul Caffrey.

Some players have used the club's weight room for voluntary workouts during the offseason (see Shane O'Neill with Caffrey above) and more are likely to join as they arrive into town over the next two weeks.
