Each week we will take a look at where the Colorado Rapids stand in the weekly Power Rankings on national soccer media websites SI.com, MLSsoccer.com, SoccerByIves and ESPNFC.com.

In week 12, the Rapids pulled out a tough 1-1 draw at San Jose, leaving Colorado in 5th place in the Western Conference and 10th in the overall in MLS standings. The tie extended the team's unbeaten streak to four games in a row (2-0-2) - with three of those four on the road.

Here’s how that result affected the team's standings in each of the four Power Rankings:

MLSSoccer.com has the Rapids at 9 (up from 10 last week), again applauding Pareja’s work as a coach and the team’s “next-man-up” philosophy.

And a bigger round of applause to this franchise – specifically Oscar Pareja – for finding a plan, improving upon it and figuring out a way to get results week after week after week with guys who really weren't supposed to be starters. Nathan Sturgis is just the latest in what seems to be an endless list.

Sports Illustrated has the Rapids at 11 (down from 10 last week).

Former U.S. U-20 player Nathan Sturgis has had quite the journeyman career (six teams in eight seasons), but he looked right at home in the Colorado midfield Saturday night, scoring the opening goal and nearly netting a second in the club's hard-fought 1-1 draw at San Jose. The Rapids get a crack at reeling Chivas USA this weekend with a golden chance to extend their unbeaten streak to five games.

Soccer by Ives has the Rapids at 11 (down from 9 last week).

A four-match unbeaten streak has the Rapids looking solid despite them still having more wins than losses. The slow return of injured players has Colorado’s depth improving, but some things, like attacking consistency, are still an issue for Oscar Pareja’s side. A very winnable match vs. struggling Chivas USA should help them push further up the playoff ladder.

And, ESPN FC ranks the Rapids at 8 (no change from last week).

The Rapids continue to get results, tying San Jose on the road 1-1. With more luck they might have claimed all three points. Oscar Pareja continues to get performances out of unassuming players, with Nathan Sturgis grabbing the goal this week.
