Matt Pickens removed from disabled list, available for immediate selection

Goalkeeper back to health and available after recovering from broken arm suffered in March

Colorado Rapids goalkeeper Matt Pickens on Wednesday was officially removed from the MLS Disabled List, making him eligible and available for selection to first-team matches immediately.

Pickens recently returned to full training after recovering from broken bones in his forearm which he sustained on March 16 in a match against Real Salt Lake in a collision with RSL defender Kwame Watson-Siriboe.

“I’m a hundred percent,” said Pickens told ColoradoRapids.com last week. “But you know, still got to get out there and do the reps. That’s what I am looking forward to doing this next step: get more reps.”

In his absence, first-year 'keeper Clint Irwin has done well in goal, posting a 6-5-5 record and registering shutouts in five of his first 10 starts.
