Colombian Deiner Cordoba and Brazilian Netinho join Rapids training

Youngsters to practice with the Rapids, possibly play Reserve League match next week

Colombian midfielder Deiner Andres Cordoba (above left) and Brazilian midfielder Netinho (above right) joined the Colorado Rapids for training on Wednesday at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

Rapids coach Oscar Pareja told ColoradoRapids.com that the two players are expected to train with the club through next week and could see action in the Rapids' Reserves match against the Chivas USA Reserves on Tuesday, August 27 (10 a.m. MT).

Cordoba, 21, has played at Deportivo Pereira in his native Colombia as well as Atlético Paranaense in Brazil. He was a member of Colombia U-17 World Cup team in 2009 and has also played for their U-20 team.

Netinho (Joao Inacio de Jesus Cerqueria), 19, began his career at famed Brazilian club Santos when he was 14 years old. He signed with Phoenix FC in the USL Pro in February and recently completed the Wolves' inaugural season. (WATCH: Netinho scores USL Pro Goal of the Week).
