A total of 22 Rapids Academy products are on rosters around the NCAA Division I ranks, and Academy on Campus is a weekly recap of their performance as of Oct. 9, 2013:

Alex Braman (picture above) was the Rapids’ star this week, scoring his first collegiate goals for St. Mary’s and helping his team to a win and a draw. He was named WCC Player of the Week for his efforts. A pair of Rapids Academy players also scored for DU, including freshman Alex Toderica, his first NCAA goal.

Avery Ball – Wright State (3-5-1) – Freshman midfielder from Fort Collins did not play in the Raiders match this week.

Zach Bolden – University of Denver (5-3-3) – Senior midfielder from Denver started in both of the Pioneers’ matches this week, a 5-0 win over Fort Wayne and a 1-1 draw vs. Oakland, both on the road.

Alex Braman – St. Mary’s (CA) College (3-4-3) – Freshman defender from Niwot had a great week for the Gaels, scoring in each of their games (1-1 draw with Gonzaga, 3-2 win over Portland) – his first collegiate goals – and being named West Coast Conference Player of the Week. He conducted a Google+ hangout with the WCC to talk about his first collegiate goals.

Ben Braman – St. Mary’s (CA) College (3-4-3) – Freshman defender from Niwot started in both of the Gaels matches this weekend, a 1-1 draw with Gonzaga and a 3-2 win over Portland.

Josue Chavez – Lipscomb University (5-5-1) – Sophomore midfielder from Longmont started both games this week for the Bisons, who lost 1-0 to Florida Gulf Coast before beating Stetson by the same score.

Andrew Epstein – Stanford University (6-2-1) – Freshman goalkeeper from Fort Collins has not made an appearance for the Cardinal, and is behind the senior returning starting goalkeeper on the depth chart.

Michael Gottlinger – Iona College (3-4-2) – Freshman defender from Fort Collins did not play in the Gael’s only match of the week, a 1-1 draw with Quinnipiac.

Chris Gurule – University of New Mexico (5-3-2) – Redshirt freshman defender from Longmont did not play in the Lobos’ match this weekend.

Karsten Hanlin – University of Denver (5-3-3) – Sophomore forward from Centennial started both of the Pioneers’ matches this week, a 5-0 win over Fort Wayne and a 1-1 draw vs. Oakland, both on the road.

Brad Holub – UNLV (3-6-0) – Freshman goalkeeper from Golden has not made an appearance for UNLV, and is behind a senior and a redshirt junior on the depth chart.

Eric Kronenberg – University of Denver (5-3-3)   – Freshman forward from Boulder scored for the second straight week, this time getting the only Pioneers goal in a 1-1 draw with Oakland. He came in as a substitute in both of DU’s matches.

Joseph Kuzminsky – Alabama-Birmingham (8-1-1, #10) – Redshirt freshman goalkeeper from Denver did not play this week, as UAB earned a big 6-2 win over Florida Atlantic.

Ricardo Perez – Creighton University (6-2-2, #7) – Freshman forward from Fort Collins started in the Blue Jays’ only match this week, a 2-0 win over Xavier.

Jason Pillard – Wake Forest University (6-2-3, #15) – Freshman defender from Niwot did not appear in the Demon Deacons’ matches this week, a win and a draw.
