Colorado Rapids Playoff Scenarios: Rapids can finish anywhere from 2nd to 5th

Pending weekend results, Colorado could face Rocky Mountain Rival in the Conference Semis

Following Real Salt Lake’s 2-1 win over Chivas USA last night, the possible playoff scenarios for the Rapids have shrunk, if only slightly. The team could still face any of the other four Western Conference postseason qualifiers, but Colorado could no longer finish first in the conference.

The next game to watch is Saturday night’s match between the Portland Timbers and Chivas USA in Los Angeles (with a Chivas win benefitting the Rapids the most). Below are the updated playoff scenarios for Colorado, based on where the Rapids could finish and who they’d meet in their first playoff match.
