2013 Save of the Year: Clint Irwin's PK save over RSL is in the Semifinals

Irwin up against two saves from FCD's Fernandez and one from Portland's Ricketts

Playing in goal is one of the more thankless tasks on a soccer field, but that doesn't mean they miss out on the spotlight entirely. MLS highlight reels have once again been filled with some top quality saves this year, and it's time to give them their proper due.

MLSsoccer.com's 2013 Save of the Year is organized as a World Cup-style tournament, of sorts, and it all culminates in the announcement of the Save of the Year on Thursday, December 5. Just like 2012, the award is decided from all 35 Save of the Week winners.

Colorado Rapids goalkeeper Clint Irwin's penalty kick save of RSL forward Alvaro Saborio back in March has made it to the semifinal, where it's up against two saves from FC Dallas goalkeeper Raul Fernandez and one from Portland's 'keeper Donovan Ricketts. Fans can vote below.
