Major League Soccer announces 2014 Reserve League Schedule

Rapids to face MLS and USL PRO clubs

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Monday, February 24, 2014) – Major League Soccer announced today the full 2014 MLS Reserve League schedule, including 10 matches for the Colorado Rapids Reserves. The Rapids will face a mixture of MLS teams and USL PRO clubs throughout the season, playing each team twice in a home-and-home series.

The Rapids Reserves open their season against Phoenix FC Wolves at home on Sunday, March 30 at 2 p.m. All home Reserve matches will take place at Dick's Sporting Goods Park Field 20. Other opponents include Western Conference foes Real Salt Lake, Seattle Sounders FC and Chivas USA, and USL PRO side Sacramento Republic FC. For the full 2014 Rapids Reserves schedule, click here.

Last year, Colorado finished the Reserve League season with a 5-7-2 (W-L-T) record. Tony Cascio, Kevin Harbottle, Danny Mwanga and Dillon Serna each scored three goals, while 2013 Supplemental Draft pick Brenton Griffiths was the only player to appear in all 14 matches.
