News from the treatment table: who could return for the Rapids vs. RSL?
Fitness tests later in the week could determine whether both leading scorer Deshorn Brown and influential Spanish midfielder José Mari are available for selection for Saturday's home game with Real Salt Lake, and the second leg of the Rocky Mountain Cup (TICKETS).
Brown has been out of action since sustaining a groin injury in the 2-1 loss at Portland Timbers on July 18. José Mari, meanwhile, is on the mend after suffering an ankle sprain in training, the day before the 2-0 home win over Vancouver Whitecaps on June 28.
Central defender Shane O'Neill remains a doubt for the weekend, as he recovers from a right knee sprain, but Jared Watts is said to be fully recovered from the lower leg injury which forced his early exit in last Friday's 3-0 win over Chivas USA and is available for the midweek trip to New England Revolution.
