The Colorado Rapids will be without their top scorer, Vicente Sánchez, for the road games at the Philadelphia Union (July 12) and Portland Timbers (July 18), after the MLS Disciplinary Committee handed down a two-game suspension to the Uruguayan striker.

Sánchez was only booked by match referee Hilario Grajeda following a foul on Crew defender Hector Jimenez in the 79th minute of the 1-1 draw at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on July 4. The league's Disciplinary Committee reviewed the incident and deemed it worthy of a red card offence, which means the Rapids must shuffle the pack for the next two games.

Sánchez will be available again for the home game against Chivas USA on Friday, July 25 (TICKETS).
