The Rapids Unified Team will kick off their 12th season on Saturday, May 18 on the road against Real Salt Lake Unified. The team then returns home to DICK'S sporting Goods Park to take on New York Red Bulls Unified in a doubleheader with the first team on July 13th, and then they’ll have a quick turnaround with another road match against FC Dallas on August 31st.

The Rapids Unified team, which is comprised of players both with and without intellectual disabilities between the ages of 16 and 25, receive training from the Colorado Rapid’s players and coaches. This exchange program not only provides Special Olympics athletes with top-level training and competitive experiences, but also offers MLS fans an opportunity to witness the talents and abilities of Special Olympics Colorado soccer players’ first-hand. Through the generosity and financial support of our corporate partners adidas, Swire Coca-Cola, and DICK’S Sporting Goods the program has continued to grow each year. With their backing, the Rapids Unified Team is provided with a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
