COMMERCE CITY CO (ColoradoRapids.com) - Due to the popularity of the limited-edition "Bouna Time" jerseys that have been on sale at the last couple of Rapids home games the Rapids Foundation and goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul have announced that an additional run of jerseys will be designed produced and ordered to arrive in time for the last regular-season home game of the year on Sat. Oct. 20.
In September the Colorado Rapids Community Care Foundation and Rapids goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul announced a joint effort to raise money to help needy kids in Bouna's native Senegal.
Bouna has designed his own commemorative limited-edition jersey that incoporates elements of the look of the classic Senagalese national soccer team jersey as well as his popular catchprase "It's Bouna Time!".
On the Rapids' home game on Oct. 20 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park the Rapids Foundation will be selling the jerseys at their booth at Section 125 on the concourse. Proceeds will benefit underprivileged children in Coudoul’s home country of Senegal.
Jerseys will be available for fans to purchase for the price of $75 per jersey and the purchase includes a special treat: following the game Bouna will personally meet the fans who purchased a jersey that night in a special meet-and-greet session and sign their jerseys and take photos!
Fans can visit the Rapids Foundation table at the stadium located atop section 125 to purchase their jerseys. Make sure to get yours early as only a limited supply were produced!
Jerseys are available in both home (white) and away (green) styles.
