All clubs are now left with several holes in their 28-man rosters. Those holes will start to be filled after the FIFA international transfer window opens on Jan. 1 2006.
The transfer window is set to close on March 1 which coincides with the MLS roster and salary budget compliance date for the 2006 season. On that date all MLS teams must consist of no more than 18 senior roster players 10 developmental roster players and 4 senior international players.
MLS will hold its annual Player Combine on Jan. 12-15 at The Home Depot Center in Carson CA. The 2006 MLS SuperDraft will follow on Jan. 20 in Philadelphia PA held in conjunction with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America conference.
