WOMEN'S SOCCER CELEBRATION DOUBLEHEADER: As part of the Rapids' annual Women's Soccer Celebration the club will be offering a doubleheader on May 15! Before the Rapids take to the pitch fans can watch the Fort Collins Force take on the Washington Freedom in a women's Pro-Am League match on the stadium field starting at 4:30pm. The game is free to fans holding a Rapids game ticket. The womens' teams' players will also conduct a soccer clinic for pre-registered kids! For more information click here.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN CUP: This will be the first match of 2008 in the Rocky Mountain Cup competition between your Rapids and Real Salt Lake! The annual tournament awards supremacy over the Rocky Mountain region with the trophy going to the winner of the yearly series between the clubs. Colorado will look to take the first step toward reclaiming the Cup which they won in the first two years of the competition but lost for the first time in 2007. Open to any Colorado youth soccer team that finished 1st 2nd or 3rd in any youth tournament or league play over the last year the Night of Champions event rewards youth players by giving their team free tickets and the chance to participate in a parade around the field before the Rapids game! At the Thursday game vs. Salt Lake fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used soccer gear to donate to needy kids around the world! RAPIDS FOUNDATION BANNER SALES: The Rapids Foundation the official non-profit charity of the club will be offering some unique pieces of the Rapids' 2008 advertising campaign for purchase at Saturday's game. Streetpole banners that were displayed around town before the start of the season featuring different Rapids stars can now be taken home by fans with a donation to the Rapids Foundation.
