COMMERCE CITY CO (Official Rapids Release) - The Colorado Rapids and Kroenke Sports Enterprises announced today that the Colorado-based Major League Soccer club has forged a club-to-club partnership with Club de Futbol Pachuca champions of the Primera Division de Mexico.
The establishment of the Pachuca Academy at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park highlights the alliance which also includes a home-and-home annual series between the clubs and an exchange of best practices.

"We are looking forward to a successful alliance that will help continue the expansion of our sport well into the future."
The Pachuca Academy will be the only one of its kind in the United States and will be administered in partnership with ProSport a sports consultancy headquartered in Mexico City and led in part by former Mexican national team legend Enrique Borja.
The Rapids and CF Pachuca also will conduct their respective preseason trainings at each other’s home ground.

CF Pachuca established in 1901 is the oldest club in Mexico and has recently become one of the most successful. The "Tuzos" have won five Mexican Premier Division titles in the last 10 years two CONCACAF Champions' Cups – winning the club championship of North and Central America and the Caribbean in 2002 and 2007 – and the Copa Sudamerica in 2006.
This is the second international club partnership forged by the Colorado Rapids in 2007 their 12th year of existence. The MLS side who are currently enjoying a banner year in their first season at their brand-new home in the state-of-the-art Dick's Sporting Goods Park complex announced their first club-to-club partnership with the English Premier League's Arsenal FC on February 9th of this year.
