The Red Ribbon campaign a program of the Colorado National Guard Drug Demand Reduction Office is designed not only to raise awareness about the dangers of drugs and alcohol but to educate Colorado’s children on how to avoid substance abuse as well.
Over the past several years the Colorado Rapids have forged a strong partnership with the men and women of the Colorado Army National Guard. Given the National Guard’s historical role and intensified efforts in serving and protecting our American communities following Sept. 11 2001 the Rapids have been proud to do their part by supporting the Colorado military every year since then in helping to endorse their Red Ribbon program across the state.
This will be the 8th straight year the Rapids have partnered with the National Guard on the Red Ribbon program.
Area middle and elementary schools can find out more information about how to apply for their school to schedule a visit by calling the Colorado National Guard Counter-Drug Office at (720) 250-2535.
