Rapids at the White House

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Monday, June 27, 2011) – The Colorado Rapids were honored by President Barack Obama at the White House in Washington, D.C. today, celebrating the team’s victory in MLS Cup 2010. The Rapids toured the White House, presented President Obama with a team jersey, and then ran a soccer clinic on the South Lawn for children of military families.

The Rapids return to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Sunday, July 3 at 7:00 p.m. MT against the Houston Dynamo as part of the Rapids’ 16thannual 4thFest, an Independence Day celebration featuring an outdoor festival before the match and fireworks afterwards.
