Commerce City, Colo. - Add Conor Casey to the long list of injured players on the Colorado Rapids at the moment. Casey felt a pull in his right hamstring during Saturday's 2-2 draw against Sporting KC and had an MRI on it on Monday. The report came back as a grade I hamstring strain. He'll receive treatment this week and is listed as doubtful for Saturday's home match against the Montreal Impact (7 pm MT).
Casey had started the past two games after returning from a 10 month absence while recovering from surgery to repair a torn Achilles. He registered his first assist of the year by setting up Kosuke Kimura's tying goal in the second half on Saturday.
The team's all-time leading scorer is the latest addition to the injury report, which also includes midfielders Pablo Mastroeni, Ross LaBauex, Brian Mullan, and Jamie Smith, defenders Marvell Wynne and Anthony Wallace, and forward Omar Cummings.
Not injury related, but midfielder Jeff Larentowicz remains on warning after picking up his 4th yellow card of the season last Wednesday in DC. If he received a caution in either of the next two games in which he appears, he'll have to serve an automatic one game suspension. Per MLS's 'Good Behavior' rule, if he is shown a yellow in either of his next two games, he'll have one card removed and be removed from warning.
