COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Wednesday, February 13, 2013) – The Colorado Rapids will play their final preseason match on Friday, February 22, taking on the defending MLS Cup champion LA Galaxy at Harder Stadium in Santa Barbara, Calif. The event begins with the Rapids Reserves taking on UC Santa Barbara in the university’s home stadium before the two MLS teams square off at 7:30 p.m. PT.
“This match will be a good final test for our players, both those who will make up our Reserve side to play against UCSB and also those taking on the Galaxy,” said Rapids Technical Director Paul Bravo. “We’re looking forward to a great evening of soccer in Santa Barbara as our players get ready to open the season on March 2 in Dallas.”
Tickets to the match will cost $12 for adults and $8 for kids, and can be found by clicking on this link. The Rapids depart this week for Las Vegas, where they will take on UNLV on Thursday before facing Chivas USA in the Las Vegas ProSoccer Challenge on Friday.
