Downtown Denver will be seeing a lot of burgundy on Saturday. And Colorado-flag blue, for that matter.
In anticipation of the Colorado Rapids first match of the 2013 season - on Saturday, March 2 at FC Dallas - fans will be on a Pub Crawl to four central soccer-friendly bars, culminating in the first official viewing party at the city's newest supporter of the beautiful game, The Armoury.
The Pub Crawl begins at 4 p.m. at Fado's Irish Pub on 19th Street (next to Coors Field), then proceeds to the Celtic Tavern on 18th and Blake, followed by The British Bulldog on Stout St. and Broadway. The group will then head five blocks west to The Armoury on Larimer St at 6 p.m. to catch the Altitude TV pregame show before the main event, the Rapids season opening match at FC Dallas.
The Rapids will be handing out prizes at each location and there will be a raffle for premium items at The Armoury viewing party.
