On Saturday, the Colorado Rapids organization will support the American Diabetes Association by joining the Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes. This is a cause that is near and dear to the Rapids organization, as Tim Hinchey explained in August. Recently, Rapids Academy forward Bryce Montes and coach Mitch Murray spoke to CBS4 Denver to share stories of their respective battles with the disease.
Montes, who suffers from Type I diabetes, emphasizes the importance of exercise to managing the disease. And Murray, who suffers from Type II diabetes, touts diet and exercise as keys to managing the disease. Watch the video below to learn more about Bryce and how he has managed to excel on and off the field while living with diabetes.
We will join Bryce and Mitch in their fight against diabetes, and you can too! Click here to join Team Burgundy!
