When the Colorado Rapids drafted Marlon Hairston with the 12th pick in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft, the former Louisville midfielder took to the stage rocking a snazzy bowtie and a hairstyle that should be familiar to Rapids fans.
Yes, those locks are reminicent of Pablo Mastroeni when he joined the club in 2002. Hairston is also a holding midfielder, a role that earned Mastroeni numerous accolades during his playing days. Intrestingly enough, Mastroeni was sitting at Colorado's draft table - as Special Assistant to the Technical Director - the day Hairston became a Rapid, and then talked about what the club saw in the 19-year old (WATCH).
Only one question remains. Who rocked the locks best?
